PETA International Science Consortium early-career scientist award

Description
The PETA International Science Consortium will award 1 early-career scientist, who intends to pursue a career in in vitro toxicology and present their work at the ESTIV2018 congress, registration for the ESTIV2018 congress (up to 300€ for students or 630€ for non-students), hotel accommodation (up to 400€ for the entire stay), and travel to and from the ESTIV2018 congress (within Europe up to 500€ or from outside Europe up to 800€). Early-career scientists are defined as any of the following:

- Students working towards their master’s or PhD who have completed their first year of study
- Postdoctoral fellows
- Scientists less than 3 years out of a postdoctoral programme

3Rs student grants

European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA)

Description
The purpose of the grants is to sponsor students to participate in the major 3Rs events in 2018. Two levels of grants are offered by the EPAA partners: half grant and full grant. A half grant covers the reimbursement of the event registration fees up to a maximum of 500 €, on the basis of the expense receipts. A full grant covers the reimbursement of the event registration fees, as well as travel and accommodation fees, up to a maximum of 1,000 €, on the basis of the expense receipts. 

Eligibility criteria for students are defined as follows:

- Applicants have to be based (i.e. studying) in one of the EU countries. Citizenship may be from any country (i.e. also outside of the EU).
- Applicants must have graduated (BSc / First cycle completed with at least 180 ECTS credits) when applying and should not yet have a doctoral degree.
- Applicants must still be considered as full-time students when applying.
- No funding or reimbursement by another entity for the same student and event is allowed.

- Cover letter describing why the work described in the abstract is important for the 3Rs and why it should be supported by the EPAA grant
